The team who did Big Buck Bunny is now working on a new animation project, named “Sintel”. It’s quite an ambitious one because they are going after for a more realistic visual style.
It’s pretty fantastic already, for a 10-men team, isn’t it? I’m sure it will get even better when release.
The most realistic math-calculated wind effect on tree branches I’ve ever seen. It’s running real-time at 60 fps.
Although some say it’s not practical for larger scene but I’m sure in the near future we’ll see this technique used in most games.
Kudos to Vienna University of Technology!! (When will our local universities start contributing something to the industry?)
